Events/Programmes held

Senior-Level Public Servants from Sri Lanka

A three-week Summer School in Federal Governance was organized in April 2007 for the senior-level public servants and faculty from the universities and the civil society groups from Sri Lanka. The progamme was inaugurated by Mr. Prabhat Kumar, former Cabinet Secretary, Govt. of India. During the course, eminent scholars from various institutions and senior civil servants of the Union Government of India, and of the State Government of Rajasthan, interacted with the participants. The Sri Lankan participants visited the Planning Commission and the National Commission for Minorities also, besides a trip to Agra. They also visited Panchayat near Jaipur and interacted with the Panchayat Officials and the representatives of the second tier of Panchayati Raj. The valediction Function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the Hamdard University.
